Sharp edges have always intrigued me. Growing up on a farm, my dad taught me the importance of sharp tools. I remember watching him sharpen his knives on an old oil stone. The process was always so interesting to me. Fast forward 40 years. After retiring from my career in public service, I knew that I wanted to do something else meaningful. I’ve always enjoyed working with my hands, and often wondered what it would be like to start my own business. I began to think about sharpening. Is there even a demand for this type of service? Through my research, I discovered that this skill is really becoming hard to find. After much thought, I decided to give it a try. It starting out as more of a hobby than anything else. I started with knives, but soon began to offer sharpening on scissors and various tools. As I began to progress, I invested in better equipment. I soon became a vendor at a few of our local farmers’ markets. This decision really gave my business a boost. Eventually, I decided to add medical shear and beauty shear sharpening to my skillset. Today, my days are spent in hair salons sharpening for stylists. I love what I do, and I have a passion to be the best that I can be at it. My sharpening skills are highly developed, but the most important thing to me is providing outstanding service to my customers. I can be reached anytime at (432) 349-7111. Please allow me the opportunity to serve you.
Sincerely, Garry Ordener
